Who we are

What we collect

MyTrainJourney doesn't require an account or registration, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies. What we do collect is kept to a minimum:

• Standard server logs. Like any website, our server automatically records basic access information (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and fault diagnosis. These are kept only briefly.
• Anonymous usage count. We keep a simple running total of how many searches have been made across the whole site. This is a single aggregate number - it isn't linked to you or your searches in any way.

We don't link searches to any account or profile - the only identifier involved is your IP address, which we hold for the retention period above and then remove.

Who we share data with

To answer your search, we send the station codes, times and dates you provide to National Rail's Historical Service Performance and live journey planning services, provided via the Rail Data Marketplace (part of the Rail Delivery Group). This is limited to the journey details needed to return train data - not any personal information about you.

Cookies

We don't currently use any analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

Since we don't hold an account or profile linked to you, there's generally very little personal data of yours for us to provide, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information about you and would like to ask about it, contact us at [email protected]. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
